Groups

Groups let organizations segment badge holders for assignment, filtering, and workflow control.

Group Types

Tagmer supports:

  • manual groups
  • smart groups

Manual Groups

Manual groups are managed directly by users and are useful for:

  • VIP lists
  • staff categories
  • speaker or sponsor segmentation
  • internal attendee buckets

Smart Groups

Smart groups automatically include badge holders based on configured conditions.

Conditions can be based on:

  • standard badge holder fields
  • custom fields
  • matching, contains, or blank-state rules

Group Status

Groups may be:

  • active
  • disabled

Disabled groups are excluded from many active workflows and may trigger warnings where assignments still exist.
